“Our best day in Portugal! Anyone visiting Porto absolutely must book a tour with Alfredo at Tourvent. Whether you think you are a 'tour' kind of person, or not...you will absolutely love this day! My husband and I booked the tour based on a recommendation, and it was truly our best day in Portugal. Alfredo spent his entire day with us, picking us up at our doorstep from our rental on the river in Porto, sharing his story, his love of the region, and his passion for people with us. We enjoyed multiple tastings at different vineyards, an exquisite lunch, a must-do boat tour of the Douro River, cocktails, and soaked up all the history of the Valley. Alfredo made the day feel like a day with a friend, rather than a tour guide, and we were overwhelmed by his kindness the very next evening when he came to our doorstep with a pair of port tasting glasses to take home to the US with us. I'm not typically one to write reviews, but this day and Alfredo really deserved the effort. Next time we have the luxury to travel to Portugal, I look forward to another tour in a different region.
