This tour was the absolute highlight of our trip! Alfredo was a wonderful guide and provided so much information about the region and wine/port. We learned so much about what makes Portugal wine so unique and special. Alfredo also put together a great combination of experiences ranging from a smaller winery to a larger, more commercialized one, plus some amazing views of the valley in between. We are so glad we booked this private tour as we were able to take our time but also access some wineries that wouldn’t be possible in a larger bus / van. We would recommend this tour to anyone looking to visit the Duoro Valley!”

The Douro valley is a must see, and you'd be silly if Alfredo didn't guide you! It took him less than 5 minutes to understand my group dynamic and really understand us and our needs. He was very knowledgeable and respectful. He took us to places we would never have visited on our own which was truly amazing. Really happy with our choice to book a private Douro Valley tour with Alfredo and Tourvent. Alfredo picked us up in a very nice van with plenty of room for four adults. He provided just the right amount of Portugal history mixed with wine, grape and Douro Valley information. He has chosen some really wonderful vineyards for this tour and we really enjoyed the opportunity to connect with the actual owners/winemakers of the vineyards. Plus, a private boat tour as well which we really enjoyed! We didn't run into any other tour groups during the day and that is exactly what we had hoped for! By far our favorite part of our trip to Portugal. Douro Valley is beautiful and a tour with Tourvent is the way to see it for sure!”
